Colgan Perry Lawler Aurell Architects believes in
an architecture rooted in and connected to its particular site. Our goal
is to create a strong sense of place that relies primarily on scale, natural
light, proportion, and materials for its effect.
The firm that is now CPLA has had a history of innovative
design for over 120 years. Our practice has developed a reputation for
the design and development of institutional, civic, and commercial buildings
as well as significant houses. Now headed by partners John M. Colgan and
Walter C. Aurell, the office is located in a National Register building
in the Hudson Valley village of Tappan, New York.
