Artin Residence

The rear of this late eighteenth century house was disfigured by an insensitive sunroom addition from the Fifties. The task was to reorganize this facde of the house to make architectural sense and to incorporate a remodeled kitchen, music room and a new dining room pavilion, opening out to a brick patio.

Though the intervention subtly alters historic fabric and creates new space, the old and the new cohere into a harmonious composition.
